Upon finishing a mission in Nepal, international aid worker Annie Blake decides to spend the Christmas holidays in her family's hometown in Vermont. But upon her arrival there, Annie finds herself at the local animal shelter and veterinarian's office where a ragtag bunch of abandoned pets need homes. Determined to find homes for the animals, Annie enlists her family and the entire community to create a Christmas that nobody will ever forget, and in the process, finds true love.
